As the designers prepare for fashion week, we get to see the background of what goes into a runway show or presentation. Normally designers have months to prepare, but the Fashion Fund finalists only had a couple weeks. For many of the designers, this is one of their first presentations, adding to the nervousness.
One of my favorite presentations was Todd Snyder. He is an incredible men’s wear designer and his point of view is appealing to a wide variety of guys

In contrast, the Public School fellas have a point of view that is specific. The collection featured a lot of clean lines, but the cuts, shape and styling were very high street.
At the end the judges give their opinion of the collections. The judges reviews were mixed, and it’s still hard to tell who are their favorites. After fashion week is over, the most important part begins: Buyer Appointments. Shows are great, but what’s even more great is when you can actually sell you collection to a store.
