MyStyle Monday: Polka Dot Power

Polka Dots are a major trend for Spring and what better way to embrace it than by paring two different polka dot patterns. I fell in love with this denim polka dot button up from Talbots when I first laid eyes on it. I thought of at least 5 ways I could wear it making it a must have for me. The ripped polka dot denim was born from a laundry mistake. I have had these jeans from Gap for a while and wore them all the time. As I was doing laundry one day, I accidentally spilled bleach on them creating several noticeable white spots on the jeans. I couldn’t fathom giving them away. So, I thought, why not make them a DIY ripped pair? Taking a X-Acto knife and scissors, I made sure to cut the areas where the bleach spots were. Then I used the X-Acto knife to create small cuts on the front. I had a pattern in mind in my head, but if you decided to DIY a pair of your own, you could search online for some ripped jeans inspiration.

I finished the look with gold accessories,a green pair of vintage Walter Steiger pumps, and my new mint sunnier from Forever 21
