Opulence is the one word I would use to describe the Marc Jacobs Resort 2016 Collection. The collection of 35 looks featured intricate, jeweled appliqués, dark neutral tones and classic silhouettes with skin showing in just the right places. Resort collections began as a way for designers to sell new items to affluent individuals who vacationed to warmer places during cold months. While other designers still design resort collections based on that premise, Jacobs has made his an extension of his fall winter collection. Instead of buying new clothes to vacation, this resort collection encourages you to buy new clothes and remain chic though the winter months. My favorite look by far was number 22 (Starting at 2:28). The beautiful shear white and black blouse paired with an abstract skirt and caged booties are the perfect mix of feminine and edge.
