Borghese Fango Collection Limited Edition

Let me introduce you to one of my newest favorites in my beauty arsenal: Borghese Fango Active Mud for Face and Body. Fango is Borghese’s line of mineral rich mud treatments. Each Fango treatment delivers nourishing minerals, natural botanicals, and their exclusive Acqua di Vita Complex to renew and restore both the body and the soul. I’m literally obsessed with their classic Active Mud. Upon opening the jar, I could immediately smell the sweet almond and avocado oils infused in the mud. After applying with a facial mask brush and letting it dry for about 15 minutes, I rinsed it off with warm water and my skin felt brand new.

This holiday season, they have teamed up with award-winning artist and designer Aerosyn-Lex Mestrovic, to create a limited edition packaging available exclusively at Lord & Taylor. “Reenergizing Fango with a contemporary, fresh, new look is the perfect pairing of eastern sensibilities and classic Italian beauty,” said Neil Petrocelli, Borghese Vice-President of Marketing. “Fango is unparalleled for its purifying and cleansing benefits,” added Mr. Petrocelli. “Its heritage is one that takes beauty to an entirely different level as do Lex’s designs.”

Lex’s multi-faceted work has been exhibited in New York’s Museum of Modern Art and Art Basel in Miami. Additionally, he has collaborated with renowned design entities such as CFDA, Kenzo, Givenchy and Public School. For Fango, drawing from his study of calligraphy in Japan, he has applied the tradition of combining gesture and movement to create an original communication. “Working with Fango and Borghese, something that’s very iconic, is about the process of distilling an idea into a movement and just letting it happen. Bringing in a sense of modernity to something that was timeless in its own right is very intriguing,” said Aerosyn-Lex. Watch below as the artist shares an inside look at his creation process.
