You guys know I am a lover of any award show red carpet. Looking back over my best dressed picks from each award show, I am picking my top top top favorites and to be honest, it was quite difficult. There were so many amazing looks and each event varies as to what is appropriate for the red carpet. I could not bare the burden of putting one look above another. So, I’ll just say these are all #1. Lets take a look at my 7 choices:
Lupita Nyong’o in Ralph Lauren at the 2014 Golden Globes
It was Lupita’s first nomination and first red carpet and she dominated!! Wearing red on the carpet can be tricky, but Lupita pulled it off with ease! I also love the fact that she wear simple studs in her ears and no necklace. Her skin became the backdrop to this rich, red gown.
Margot Robbie at the 2014 Critics Choice Awards
I LOVE this jumpsuit. The lace arms elevate this simple jumpsuit to a classic red carpet look! Margot is another newbie to the red carpet, but she is working this look like a pro.
Amy Adams at the 2014 SAG Awards
I love, love, love the neckline on this dress! Plus, the color is amazing! I also think styling the dress without a necklace was a perfect choice!
Taylor Swift at the 2014 Grammy Awards
An up-close view of this would be better, but the dress is actually a chain mail material. I love the new style direction Tay has taken over the last few red carpets! Bravo!
Naomi Watts at the 2014 Oscars
The details in this gown are impeccable. Small, intricate beading in all white with a cap sleeve really stood out to me. The necklace and the bag give the look edge and I am glad Naomi chose these accessories.
Rihanna in Stella McCartney
The white is dazzling against her skin! Plus I love the modern take on the gown with a 2 piece and a crop top. Some critics were displeased with the hair, but I think it adds edge and fun to the look.
Jessie J at the 2014 AMAs
Jessie J always knows how to pull off a chic menswear look with out looking like she is trying to hard. Her all white choice paired with simple accessories is a style note we can all be inspired by.
