One of my readers recently asked for my recommendations for dry shampoo brands. There are so many options out there, that sometimes it can be hard to narrow down to ones that out-shine the others. Dry shampoos have gained a lot of popularity in recent years due to the fact that most hair care experts agree that washing your hair everyday is not necessary. While their reasons are good and plenty, most of us still want our hair to at least feel and smell clean everyday. That’s the beauty of a dry shampoo; it gives us that very quick refresh while at the same time helps us to prevent damage from every day shampooing.
DevaCurl No-Poo Quick Cleanser Dry Shampoo
Why I love it: Perfect for African American hair or hair that is thicker and curlier.
CLEAN Original Dry Shampoo
Why I love it: It’s talc-free, so no white “dandruff looking” residue. Plus, it has an amazing scent that is time released throughout the day.
Aveeno Pure Renewal Dry Shampoo
Why I love it: This wallet friendly option also includes natural ingredients such as seaweed extract.
Not Your Mother’s Clean Freak Dry Shampoo
Why I love it: This one is especially good for those who are worried about their hair having a “greasy” look. It leaves a matte finish that instantly leaves hair looking as though you just finished blow drying.
Alterna Bamboo Style Cleanse Extend Translucent Dry Shampoo
Why I love it: As the name indicates, its made with natural bamboo and it can double as a volumizer.
