The MTV VMA red carpet never disappoints. You are bound to see some really outlandish looks and some winners on the red carpet. This year, 3 out of my 4 favorites are in all back. Black when done right is such a classic and edgy combination. As for the actual awards show, it was the most family friendly one in years! With the exception of the first performance with Nikki Minaj and her dancers twerking, all of the performances were fairly clean. There was also that very awkward afterthought moment of the Robin Williams tribute. They could have at least had someone say something. The best moments of the night go to little miss Blue Ivy. The internet exploded with gifs of her dancing and her moves as her mom sang “Flawless”
Best Dressed
Chanel Iman
Perfect fitting gown with gorgeous details. Minimal accessories and great beauty choices made her a obvious choice for best dressed.
Solange
Solange has always had great personal style. So, I will admit I am biased towards her choices. She always does exceptional in her beauty choices. Love her full hair and bronze eyes.
Kelly Rowland
Beautiful and glowing! She picked the perfect gown to accent her growing baby bump.
Miley Cyrus
This looks really good on Miley. It’s very sleek yet rock and roll. Plus I love that she went simple by wearing minimal jewelry and a simple, silver heel.
Worst Dressed
Amber Rose
If desperate for attention and relevancy were an outfit…
Chloe Grace Moretz
This “Ladies Who Lunch” outfit has no business on the red carpet. Women 20 years older than her were showing more skin and sex appeal.
Charli XCX
It’s loud, obnoxious AND looks like it belong in the Club Wear Section of Forever 21.
